worker housing in colombia.

Improving lives.

Early in our partnership with Weykman, we visited farmworker homes to identify those in greatest need. One family of four was living in severe conditions, crumbling walls, no windows, and a leaking roof.

With experience rebuilding homes in Colombia and Nicaragua, we set out to transform their living conditions, and their future.

urgent need.

Many farm workers live in deeply challenging conditions, often unseen and overlooked in a system where farmers may have greater access to resources and opportunities. While some benefit from growth, countless farm workers continue to face daily hardships that go unnoticed.

When we encountered one family living in unsafe and difficult circumstances, we knew we had to act quickly. With the help of a local architect and engineer, and in close partnership with Karen Mora , Jose Gomez, and Weykman Jojoa, we came together to build a safe and dignified home.

1 home transformed.

Our purchasing partnership with Weykman spanned several years, and although the volume of coffee we purchased was modest compared to other partners, the impact we made was anything but small. With a limited budget reflecting this scale, we were able to extend vital support to a single family. That one family faced an urgent need, and thanks to our collaboration, we made a meaningful difference when it mattered most.
