Farmer, Visionary, and Community Advocate

Weykman Jojoa is the proud farmer and landowner of Finca La Maria in Nariño, Colombia. Though a relatively new farmer, he and his family purchased the farm just seven years ago, Weykman brings deep experience and bold ambition to the coffee industry.

Before owning his own land, Weykman spent years working as a coffee buyer, collaborating closely with local farmers and gaining a deep, hands-on understanding of the coffee supply chain. Today, he’s channeling that knowledge into transforming Finca La Maria, not just to produce exceptional coffee, but to uplift the lives of those who help grow it.

Each harvest season, Weykman employs around 30 farm workers to pick and dry coffee cherries. He personally oversees the entire production process, selling his beans to a trusted exporter who then ships them to Think Coffee. Our relationship with Weykman, his exporter, and several of his workers is direct, transparent, and rooted in shared values.

From our very first visit, Weykman showed us he’s as committed to his community as he is to his craft. We listened, and what we heard shaped our Common Good Project in Consacá, aimed at improving housing for local farmworkers.

Weykman has been a true partner in these efforts. He understands the importance of dignity at work and long-term investment in people. Together, we’re not just growing better coffee, we’re helping grow a better future.
